Privacy Policy

Overview
The Zuro browser extension and website ("Zuro") help you remove invisible AI text watermarks and check whether text appears AI-written. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Data collected by the extension
- Text you process. The text you paste or select is sent to the Zuro server solely to perform the removal or scoring you requested. It is used transiently to run the service and is not sold or shared.
- Anonymous usage ID. A random identifier is generated and stored in your browser to allow anonymous removals. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password. An authentication token is stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
- Quota information. Removals are counted against your plan so free limits are enforced.
How data is used
Data is used only to operate Zuro: to run removals and analyses, manage your account, enforce plan quotas, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data. Text content is processed to deliver the feature you asked for and is not used for advertising or to build profiles about you.
Storage & retention
Your browser stores only what is needed to keep you signed in (authentication token and anonymous ID). Server-side, session records used for your dashboard are tied to your account. You can log out at any time from the extension profile screen, and deletion requests can be sent to the address below.
Third parties
Zuro calls third-party large language model providers to perform the rewriting. Only the text you submit for removal is sent to those providers as part of the operation, under their data policies.
